Parents & Guardians Society of Mentally challenged Children
of Shimla, H.P.
This organization is committed for the cause of challenged
children and is running a respite center to provide day care
service and residential facilities for such children. This
project is one of it's kinds in H.P., which is being run by
parents group and sported by "National Trust for the
welfare of persons with autism, cerebral palsy, mental retardation
and Multiple Disabilities." The learning Centre (TLC)
of Bishop cotton School, Shimla is also closely associated
with the project.

Mr. Gulbeer S. Kochhar,
who heads the Chandigarh Chapter of IAMD is a very enterprising
person and a person who believes in providing every kind
of feasible help to other disabled despite himself suffering
from MD. On his part he has been organizing picnics for
the disabled in and around Chandigarh and has a word of
wisdom for any one who feels depressed given his or her
state of disability.
