Mr. Gulbir Singh Kochar is an Electrical
Engineer by profession and is currently working as a Senior
Executive Engineer with Hydel Designs Organization, a unit
of P.S.E.B. at Chandigarh. He heads the Chandigarh chapter
of IMDA (Indian Muscular Dystrophy Association) and is a source
of great inspiration to all the MD patients around him, for
whom he acts as a source of valuable counsel regarding the
disease and the ways to cope with it. Mr. Kochar is married
and has two sons. His wife is a housewife and they live in
a joint family with his parents and sister.
His hobbies are painting, gardening, photography, reading,
corresponding through post and e-mail with other MDs. He wants
to work as much as he can for the benefit of MDs.
His advise to fellow MDs- Have faith in God. Get as much education
as they can. Instead of watching too much TV, get engaged
in some productive work. Try to earn money and be self-dependent.
Do some social work. Don't think of the past or the future.
Enjoy life to its fullest.
