They fight against TWO enemies MD & Poverty
Help them direct: These deserve.

   T. Ram and T. Lakshman were born as twins to poor parents. The sister as twins
to poor parents. The sister of the father,a widow adopted her second nephew Lakshman, hoping he would be of help to her when grown up But the poor auntie was disillusioned and forlorn. When she knew that her both nephews were victims of MD. Lakshman went to school till he reached class VII. Now he is fully immobile.

IMDA helped the family in some ways. But it's not much because of it's meager resources.

Now Lakshman helps his adopted mother (aunt) doing some petty job at home in gold plated handicraft business straining his eyes and poor fingers. He helps his adopted
mother earning Rs. 10 a day doing the petty handiwork sitting at home.

This is a family, deserving your consideration for help. You may send your donation by M.O. or Cheque direct to them.

Tandava Krishna, a poor handloom worker and the father of three daughters and one son.   Only one daughter   is    left healthy   while  the other   two daughter's 24, 20. and the boy (14) are having MD and the three are totally immobile.

The youngest one, the boy Nagaraj (14)

studied up to class five and his sister (20) run a small petty kiosk (bunk they call) selling biscuits etc, before a convent school. The convent school students take the biscuits, chocolates and other things themselves and leave the right cash in his cash box. They sometimes take the change from the cash showing it to Nagaraj (see photo) and Nagaraj is there as observer. And his sister is brought in a wheel chair (supplied by IMDA) to give Nagaraj relief from the days work. Thus the two help their parents in their humble way. The other eldest sister ironically named sreedevi does oil colour paints.

Report from Calcutta Chapter

Here at Calcutta I have contacted the parents of 3 M.D. Patients directly as well as through my friend. I supplied them
Newsletter 'Bridge' and requested them to contact you in the mean time. From their aspects it is to my apprehension that they are less interested about their M.D. Boys to leak out in the society since they are already engaged/involved individually  with  their  physician as  also to to neorlogists. So they never consider to join any Association for the M.D. boys to fight against the M.D.

My opinion is that if we can maintain their mental health by gossiping jokes, playing and accompany them off and on they can enjoy themselves. They should not be made to understand that they are 'burden' to the family. They should be involved with painting, drawing, pictorial education, indoor games much as possible and vocal or instrumental music. The parents should always keep themselves happy and MD boys too. Parents who have lost their M.D. Boy/Boys should realize that they have lost the 'Angel' lived in Heaven not on Earth.
