Dear Prospective Volunteer

Being a volunteer for the cause of Muscular Dystrophy Patients is a matter of pride for our fellow volunteers. They believe that serving a handicapped person suffering from such a cruel disease is like a service to God and the kind of satisfaction they are able to derive from such service strengthens their resolve. Further this in a way allows them to spend a few moments away from their daily hassles in life and being close to an MD patient makes them realize the triviality of their own small problems in life.

No matter where you are located in India, you too can become a volunteer in service of such hapless patients of MD. On becoming a Volunteer, a list of MD patients residing near you place will be given to you and you will be able to choose for yourself the kind of voluntary work that you wish to undertake for them. For example you can spend some time with them on daily or weekly basis, buy them some gifts (not very expensive), help them by encouraging their hidden talents, help locate other MDs around your place who may not be registered members of IAMD and help them get registered. You can also help them in any other way you deem fit and without it being too much of a burden on you normal day to day living.

To become a registered volunteer all you need to do is fill up the online registration form provided in the link below and send a demand draft of Rs100/- (one hundred rupees only) in favor of President IAMD Solan, payable at Solan, at the below given address.
